The National Lottery Fund retains and disburses National Lottery proceeds to Good Causes. NLB provides oversight, while player services remain outside this institutional estate.
Five public-benefit categories
- Charitable causes: Care, social development, environmental protection, aid to people in need and support for vulnerable communities.
- Economic empowerment: Small business, education, research, innovation, technology and health initiatives that expand opportunity.
- Sports, arts and culture: National teams, facilities, talent development, creative practice, recreation and preservation of heritage.
- Signature projects: High-impact programmes in housing, community infrastructure, agriculture, energy, health and research.
- National emergencies: Response, recovery, preparedness and risk reduction for emergencies affecting communities.
Publish the evidence, not only the story
Every project page should state the cause, location, reporting period, owner, status, outcome and source record.
